Mercari Fee Calculator 2026

Mercari has a straightforward fee structure: 10% selling feeon the item price plus buyer-paid shipping, and no payment processing fee since 6 January 2025. Here's what you actually take home.

Fee Breakdown

  • Selling fee: 10% of the item price plus buyer-paid shipping
  • Payment processing: none on listings created or edited since 6 Jan 2025 (older, unedited listings: 2.9% + $0.50)
  • Shipping: variable (Mercari offers prepaid labels)

Example: $28 sale

  • Sale price: $28.00
  • Mercari 10% fee: −$2.80
  • Net before cost + shipping: $25.20

Effective fee rate: 10% on a $28 sale with free shipping.

Instant Pay vs. Standard

Standard balance transfers to your bank are free. Instant Pay costs $3 per cash-out. Factor this in if you cash out frequently.
