Final Value Fee

For most categories, eBay charges 13.25% on the total sale (item price + shipping), up to $7,500. After $7,500 it drops to 2.35%.

On top of that, there's a $0.30 per-order fee for payment processing.

You sell a jacket for $45 with free shipping, and it cost you $12.

  • Payment processing: −$0.30

Insertion Fees

eBay gives you 250 free listings per month. After that, it's $0.35 per listing (most categories). Store subscribers get more free listings.

Category Exceptions

Some categories have different rates: Motors vehicles (2.35%), Real estate (fixed $35), and a few others. Most resellers selling clothes, electronics, or collectibles pay the standard 13.25%.
